What to Bring?

Here are some top tips and key pointers on what to bring:


  • Bring towels: bed linen and pillows are provided, but not towels. The park also recommends that you bring extra toilet roll. We suggest things like bin bags and other kitchen / bathroom essentials are handy.  Unfortunately cots can't be provided so please bring a travel cot if required.


  • Food and drink

    • all accommodation has cooking and fridge facilities. Fridges are quite small, though. Pots and pans etc. are provided, but not things like washing up liquid or drying towels etc., so if you plan on eating in your lodgings, bring that stuff along.

  • You can have a BBQ (not provided) if the weather is nice, but it has to be raised up off the ground and must be properly extinguished and disposed of once done.

  • Be prepared to bring food for meals – there are dining options in the main entertainment complex bar and there is a little fish and chip shop. BUT – be aware that these get really, really busy and last year the queues for the chippy were crazy. Make sure you plan for a big lunch on the Saturday so that you have good preparation for the Talent show and the evening that follows.


  • There is an arcade on site.  Sadly the kids love it.  Pack a few  bags of 2p and 10p coins.  However, the caravan park kindly provides plenty of change machines!!!

  • If you want to (and the weather allows) sit out in the sun, you’ll need to bring your own deckchairs and rugs / mats as there’s no garden furniture etc. in the lodges and caravans.


  • There is a little shop onsite for essentials, but it’s pretty small. Newport – only 15 mins drive away – has a lot of supermarkets including a Tesco’s and a Morrisons.


  • There is a swimming pool so remember your swimming gear?

  • Your fancy dress costume - no excuses. No costume = heavy fine!

  • Most importantly don't forget your child's rugby kits (shiny new tour tops), Gum shield, boots and all the other bits you would usually take along to a festival - This is a rugby tour after all!!
